Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

To work as a trainer and assessor in Australia you must complete the new TAE40116 qualification before the end of April 2019. You can achieve this in one of two ways:
  • If you hold the previous version of the qualification, TAE40110, you can upgrade to TAE40116 through one of four pathways, depending on the units completed in the old qualification.
  • If you have no existing qualification, or if you hold any version of the TAE qualification prior to TAE40110, you must complete the full version of the new Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116).

To upgrade your old TAE40110 qualification to the new TAE40116 qualification please call NDA on 03 6334 4910 or email tameaka@nda.com.au. We will discuss your current qualification and select the appropriate upgrade pathway. The upgrade fee will depend on the pathway chosen and the volume of work required. How to complete the new Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)

The new TAE40116 qualification comprises ten units: nine core units and one elective. NDA presents the qualification through three by three-day training courses, plus an assessment day. The courses are offered in both Hobart and Launceston and may be attended by anyone throughout the state. Classroom training is augmented by self-paced learning and work-based activities.
